Main Street Relief Fund Round 3 Applications Open for Bars in Partnership with Seagram’s 7 #KeepTheDiveAlive Campaign

With the support of Seagram’s 7, Main Street Alliance has opened a third round of our small grant direct support fund to make as much impact as possible for those who have not yet been able to access federal relief.

But we also know one relief fund will never be enough. Progress has been made through tireless and continuous advocacy to drive longer-term, comprehensive support through Congress, for all small businesses, but small businesses need grants to survive and truly recover.

Seagram’s 7, the Iconic American Whiskey Brand, is partnering with comedian Iliza Shlesinger and the Main Street Alliance to help small businesses, including local bars, in recognition of National Dive Bar Day on 7/7.

From June 24 until July 24, for every share of the “Keep the Dive Alive” content from the brand’s Instagram (@Seagrams7) and Facebook, Seagram’s 7 will donate $7 (up to $77,000) to Main Street Alliance. As part of the partnership, Main Street Alliance will be awarding up to 22 grants each in the amount of $3,500 to help local businesses.

The deadline to apply for this round of funding is Saturday, August 7th, 2021 at 5 p.m. ET.

Awards of $3,500 will be granted to small business bars across the nation.

Main Street Alliance, with generous support from Crown Royal, formally launched the Main Street Relief Fund in 2020 to support small businesses that were unable to access critical aid when the pandemic hit.

All over the country, America’s independent bars, restaurants, stages and local neighborhood spaces were in danger of disappearing and the fund was a way for us to provide direct support to struggling small businesses. While some federal grant funding was approved in the last COVID Relief package, many small businesses simply cannot wait for the roll out of these programs.

Awards:  $3,500 grants will be awarded. Award announcements will be made mid September.

Eligibility: The third round of the Main Street Relief Fund focuses on providing relief to small businesses, including local dive bars, in partnership with Seagrams 7. Priority will be given to businesses that are owned by people of color or women and have not received other forms of relief or financial assistance.

In an effort to reach as many businesses as possible, we will be limiting awards to one per owner. Please do not submit multiple applications, even if you own multiple dive bars/locations. Applications will be evaluated and scored in accordance with the program’s predetermined scoring rubric. In the event that there are more top-scoring applications than available grants, grantees will be selected based on a lottery. A due diligence review, possibly including a phone screening, will be conducted. A grant award of $3,500 will be made to each selected recipient.

This grant program is intended for for-profit small businesses only.

Grant Details: Grant funds must be used to pay for business expenses related to reopening (capital improvements, rent, payroll, PPE purchases, etc.) and cannot be used for any personal expenses.
