The Main Street Alliance is a national network of small business coalitions working to build a new voice for small businesses on important public policy issues. Alliance small business owners share a vision of public policies that work for business owners, our employees, and the communities we serve.
The Alliance creates opportunities for small business owners to speak for themselves on issues that impact their businesses and their employees. Our growing network includes small business coalitions in a dozen states. Learn more about our state partners by clicking on the links in the right sidebar.
The Main Street Alliance is directed by a National Steering Committee of small business leaders from our state coalitions. The National Steering Committee identifies issue priorities, establishes MSA positions, and provides direction and guidance for MSA’s work at the national level.
The Main Street Alliance network formed in 2008 to give Main Street small business owners a new voice in the health reform debate, and has since broadened its focus to work on a range of issues that matter to small businesses and local economies. The Main Street Alliance network is a program of the non-profit Alliance for a Just Society and Community Organizations in Action.
